A selection of hoaxes

The performance of the Missa Quare Tristis Est, Anima Mea, of Georges de la Hèle (1547 – 1586) by the "Ensemble Polyfoon" directed by Lieven Deroo is amazing. De la Hèle, composer of 8 masses, all preserved in the Plantin and Moretus Museum in Antwerp, also worked at the Spanish court: just listen here: http://polyfoon.be/polyfoon.html

FLOP 10: a selection of hoaxes: the inquisition. Anima Mea is also the title of a theater show about the last years of Andreas Vesalius, based on the novel Vesalius of Joris Tulkens. Although there is no historical proof that Vesalius was a victim of the inquisition, the author enhances the fairy tale:http://cobra.be/cm/cobra/podium/1.2142006
