The letter reads as follows:
"In Zakynthos, Greece, the Theo Dirix , Marc Gardiner and Pascale Pollier, organizers of Vesalius Continuum, with the support of the Municipality and the communities of the island, hosted a conference in honor of Vesalius from 4 to 8 September. Saturday 6th September, Brion Benninger, professor of sports medicine at the Western University of Health Sciences, Lebanon Oregon, USA’, has launched a unique work entitled: «Google Glass-Ultrasound-Dissection - The Triple Feedback». Andreas Vesalius used a dynamic approach to reveal human anatomy. Professor Benninger tried to be as innovative and was Vesalius. Replicated the concept of dynamic anatomy, incorporating human contact glasses of Google (Google Glass), during the examination of an individual factor ultrasound imaging via a finger sensor, work Sonivate, to create the 'Triple Feedback'. The 'Triple Feedback' includes pulse stethoscope (human contact), anatomical observation surface (outer optical stethoscope) and representations of the human anatomy by means of ultrasound, during human contact (internal optical stethoscope). This combination allows a better communication between the patient and the doctor during physical examination. The professor believes that this method can reduce the waiting times for each test and may be the key to a revolution in cardiac resuscitation -and many other benefits. Professor Benninger said it was an honor to work with renowned scientific medical imaging artists, historians, physicians and anatomists. Indeed, artists and medical imaging historians are invaluable in capturing and telling the history of medicine. He acknowledged that this conference in honor of Vesaliou had been terribly successful and thanked the governments of Greece and Belgium and the organizers for their support. " PHOTO: www.kgw.gr |
